Through-the-weave rubber hoses are often used in place of jacketed fire
hoses for applications such as washdown service at pulp mulls and chemical
plants, standby forest fire protection, as well as for municipal fire hose
service. Their specially designed construction featuring a Nitrile/PVC blend
rubber compound completely encases the jacket to provide a long-lasting hose
when compared to conventional fabric covered fire hose while maintaining the
advantage of being lightweight. Through-the-weave hoses offer greater wear and
chemical resistance and have the added benefit of being able to be wiped clean
after service.
