Fall Arrest Inspections

Brogan Fire & Safety provides fall protection equipment inspections at our location and onsite. While it is important for workers to inspect their gear prior to each use, industry standards also require fall protection equipment to be inspected, at a minimum of once a year, by a competent person. We can inspect it to identify any concerns, and ultimately determine if it is good to continue using it or if it needs to be removed from service. We also provide proper inspection documentation for your records.

SRL Authorized Service Centre

Brogan Fire & Safety is certified to perform repairs and annually certify SRLs from DBI Sala in the original body style, new body style, and Ultra-lok in any variation that they come. Our factory trained technicians perform services as required by CSA standards.

Asset Management Program

Our “AMP” is a tactical plan for managing your organization’s self-retracting lifelines (SRL’s). You bring us your SRL’s for servicing, repair and certification. We also store the equipment for you, free of charge. When the SRLs are required for a job, the equipment is stamped that day, allowing certification to be effective from day of pick-up, opposed to the day it was repaired. This program will prevent your organization from having out of date equipment on your shelf, losing months of certification or from taking equipment out to a job only to find out it has less than a full year of certification left.

Gas Detection Servicing

We are an authorized Honeywell (BW Technologies & RAE Systems), MSA, Drager, GfG, RKI, Blackline, and Gas Clip Technologies distributor with factory trained and certified technicians. We offer a variety of services in-house warranty repairs, general repairs, cleaning and calibrating units, documenting, and recording services performed on EACH unit and gas detection equipment repairs.

Hydrotesting Cylinders

Several of our branches are equipped to perform hydrotesting on cylinders in a range of sizes and applications. Pressurized cylinders are required to be hydrostatically tested every 5 years, and not only does Brogan Fire & Safety perform this inspection, but we can also refill all SCBA and SABA cylinders with laboratory tested, clean, dry breathing air. We also carry a supply of valves and parts, allowing us to perform in-house repairs.

Compressor / Air System Service

Available as an onsite service, we visit your location to perform all necessary maintenance and services.  Our Jordair and Scott certified compressor technicians will take low and high pressure air samples, co-calibrate, and are able to design and install cascade systems for filling or supplied air.

Fire Extinguisher Servicing

Ensure you have adequate fire coverage with annual fire extinguisher servicing and inspection for all portable styles of extinguishers. In addition to an annual fire extinguisher inspection, we also provide hydrotesting for carbon dioxide extinguishers in our shops. All of our technicians are fully trained and certified to NFPA 10 and Intertek standards, ensuring the work is completed according to code.

Embroidery

For your clothing bought at Brogan, we can put company logos and names with our in-house embroidery services. This includes coveralls, parkas, bib overalls, hoodies, toques, neck warmers and more. Quick turn-around to have your garments back in your hands to wear on the job site.

FireService Management

FireService Management is North America’s premier facility, dedicated to providing the best in turnout gear cleaning, bunker gear repair, decontamination, testing and assessment. Our technicians are fully trained in the inspection and repair of moisture barriers and all garment components. Cleaning, inspection, and repair services are all in compliance with NFPA 1851, current edition. At our Calgary location we offer cleaning, decontamination, inspection, and repair for turnout gear. We also offer several customizations throughout embroidery servicing.
